Installation for the solo exhibition
"Vue des Alpes" at FRAC Alsace, Séléstat (f), 2006

Several set requisites in various sizes:
terrrain parts, slopes, 2 pine trees, backdrop image
inkjet print on PVC tarpaulin, partly mounted on honeycomb wafer cardboard
wooden structure, max. height appr. 500cm

Walkthrough is a site-specific installation, grouping parts of the digital Vue des Alpes landscape as life size props into a stage-like scene. Visitors could take a path across the landscape to visit the Wasserfall projection behind the installation; when returning they would see the raw backfaces of the cardboard elements with their support structures, exposing the Alpine idyll as an ironical Potemkin village.
